Description
The Smart Gateway RS-485 to N2K (NMEA2000) is used to monitor the status information of the EVO series propulsion systems, including but not limited to motor gear, motor voltage, motor speed, battery temperature, State of Charge (SOC), and Speed Over Ground (SOG), and to send the status information to external devices via the NMEA 2000 network.
The Smart Gateway features 3 RS485 interfaces and 1 CAN interface, connecting to the propulsion system's 485 network through the RS485 interfaces and to the NMEA 2000 network through the CAN interface.
The new Smart Gateway allows owners of ePropulsion Spirits, Navy and Pod motors to seamlessly integrate with external MFDs via NMEA 2000. Nextfour Q Experience and Raymarine displays are the first to be integrated with ePropulsion Smart Gateway to have complete compatibility with the full line of ePropulsion motors.
The Smart Gateway is easy to use and install. Measuring 3.5- by 2-inches and weighing only 5-ounces, the compact gateway is connected in between the throttle and motor with an additional port allowing for the connection to the display. After integrating with the Q Experience and Raymarine Axiom, information such as battery state of charge (SOC) and engine power of the ePropulsion system are seamlessly displayed, providing users with exceptional situational awareness.
